Knowledge brokering - feedback

Thank you very much for coming to the live session on knowledge brokering, and contributing so constructively to the discussion.

The messages I am taking away from this are:

  • you'd be interested to cover more about thinking politically, power dynamics and government structures (I'm adding Hall's 3Is framework to week 6, and I think you'll get more later in the course about stakeholder mapping which takes into account power hierarchies)
  • there was a question I couldn't answer about gathering local evidence (which is highly valued) when time is short - I'm still thinking about this and I hope you are too

If I've missed something or if other ideas or questions have come to mind since Friday, please add them to this discussion forum.

I would also like to hear how you found the studying suggested for last week.

  • What order did you study in? Did you look at any of the materials before we met, or did you wait until after the live session?
  • Did I give you enough materials to think about and tasks to do,  too much or too little?
  • Was it helpful for your role, and can you suggest anything else that would be helpful?

Many thanks. I shall look forward to seeing your assignments.

See you next Friday, Sandy
